5 Reasons Brush & Roll Painting Might Not Be The Best Painting Company For Your Project

December 4th, 2023 | 3 min read

By Kaylea Kuhlman

At Brush & Roll Painting in Omaha, NE, we pride ourselves on providing durable and valuable work. But we know we are not the best choice for everybody.

Don’t get us wrong, we would love to work on any project that comes our way, but it would be unfair to say we are the best option for every painting project. Painting of any kind is an investment, so making the right choice for yourself and your project is key.

In this article, we will discuss why we might not be the best option for people. By reading this, you can further understand what we offer and know where we might be on your list of painting companies for your project.

1. You’re looking for the cheapest option for your painting project

Drawing weighing price vs value.

As a value-based company, Brush & Roll Painting won’t be the lowest bid you could get. We tend to do things a little differently than other painters in the Omaha area.

Our price is built from the scope of work (including exact measurements), our prep work process, the high-quality materials and products we use, and the time of our skilled and experienced team of painters and finishers.

If you’re looking for a quick and cheap painting job and are on a tight budget, we won’t be suitable for your needs.

2. You want the painting job done fast

You might be moving into your new home or getting prepared to move out, so you want a job done quickly. That is okay! However, with our process, we might not be the best fit for you.

Every step of our proven process is crucial to the final product. We believe all good things take time. Depending on the scope of the project, we are usually at your home for at least 1-2 weeks. From our thorough prep work process and application of professional-grade products, we put time and carefulness into our work.

After accepting an estimate, it could take roughly 3-5 weeks to get the project started, depending on the work already scheduled.

Many other painting companies work quicker, they are in and out of homes in a few days. When we are wrapping up our prep work process, many painters are out the door. This also means that those other painters may be skipping important steps and the paint is quickly rolled or sprayed on.

We strive to get your project started and finished as soon as possible, but also take into consideration the process to provide a quality finish.

3. You don’t think prep work before painting is necessary

Our quality finish can be attributed to our detailed and extensive prep work process. We believe any paint job is only as good as the prep. If you don’t see the value of prep work before painting, we won’t be the best company for you.

A general process for any painting service we provide is covering and protecting surfaces, cleaning, repairing, sanding, and priming. These steps are crucial for lasting paint. Paint will look its best when applied to a clean and solid surface.

4. You don’t want to invest in high-quality products

Our experience dates back to opening in 1996. Since then, we’ve had our fair share of trials and errors with products and materials. Through these discoveries, we have found the tried and true products that we can rely on for many years.

These products are usually more expensive than the products that other painting companies in Omaha use. But, we can guarantee that they will provide lasting work. These types of products can not be found on a shelf in the hardware store.

We trust in these promises so much, we provide up to a 9-year labor and material warranty.

5. You are not concerned about a painting warranty

At Brush & Roll Painting, we offer a 2 to 9-year warranty on most of our services. Through this warranty, we provide an hour free of touch-ups each year for the life of the warranty. This includes fixing any accidental nicks or scratches or product failure.

Might it be the kids running too fast in the hallway or a plate slipping from your hands and marking the cabinet, accidents are bound to happen. Whether it’s in 1 year or 8 years, we have your back to ensure that your final paint job looks great for years to come.

6. You aren’t concerned about project communication

From the first call to the last, we put time and energy into our conversations with customers. We want to ensure that you are getting the best out of your experience with us.

If consistent communication and updates throughout your project are not what you need, then it is likely that there will be a better contractor for your job.
